Nick Walsh was the first front-end developer to join Envy Labs, an Orlando-based software consultancy founded in 2009. After a stint as design director, he now serves as managing partner — leading operations and strategy for Fortune 500 top 10 clients and startups alike.

During his tenure, Nick played a primary role in creating the interface, experience, and course materials behind Code School. The bootstrapped learn-to-code startup later spun out of Envy Labs and sold to Utah-based unicorn Pluralsight for $36 million.

Over the last decade, he’s assisted in organizing (and speaking at) local tech meetups including the Orlando Ruby Users Group, BarCamp Orlando, Design Orlando, Front End Orlando, and Code School Betas.

Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in Digital Media from the University of Central Florida.
